A classic that reads well aloud and creatively avoids a grisly end for the giant!

It is delightfully apparent in Richard Walker's retelling of a this classic, that he is a professional storyteller! This tale reads aloud with suspense and fresh perspective! What I love most about this version is how the giant exits the story. As a child, I worried over where the giant's enormous body would be buried after he falls from the cut stalk! Walker neatly avoids the presentation of a lifeless giant by having Jack beanstalk-catapult him into space - where it is suggested he remains, alive and well -even if scientifically impossible!
