My Barefoot Books journey began when I came across the Barefoot Books website while searching for books for my then 18-month-old son. The first Barefoot Books book I came across was The Fabrics of Fairytales and I was fascinated with the beautiful artwork.

I was impressed that Barefoot Books have a great collection of stories from all around the world. This resonated with me as I had grown up in Singapore, studied in Australia, currently living in New Zealand (NZ) and have family around the globe. I love learning about the different world cultures and finding commonalities between them, which are usually centered around family, food and traditions. 

With assistance from the wonderful Barefoot Books team, I joined the Ambassador programme (now called Community Bookseller) and became the first NZ-based Barefoot Books Ambassador. I am very excited to introduce Barefoot Books to you and start living Barefoot in New Zealand.
