Dianna's Barefoot Story
At an education conference, about 14 years ago, I stopped at a Barefoot table and purchased a board book about sushi for a friend's new baby. "Selling books at these kinds of events looks so fun," I remember thinking. "I would love to do that." After teaching early childhood students for a time and now having young children of my own, I am so ready to take on that role I'd been enchanted by years ago. I was an AVID reader as a child, and immersing myself in the joy of sharing beautiful, thoughtfully created books for kids feels like a 'full circle' move. And that board book that first had me dreaming of being Barefoot? It now lives at our house, where I'm reading it to my own babies. <3
