Rise Up!
Throughout our long history, when something’s unfair
When rights need expanding, or wrongs need repair
We campaign and vote. We challenge tradition.
Protest is American by definition!
While America has a complex history, we want to celebrate its 250th anniversary by highlighting the culturally rich country it has become as well as exploring its legacy of activism and protest. And what better way to inspire activism in young people than with Rise Up!, a bold nonfiction book that explores 25 moments of protest, resistance, and revolution throughout American history.
Additionally, sometimes making change means conquering inner fears, like in Kwesi and Nana Ruby Learn to Swim. We also make sure the history we teach reflects the full Take Me Out to the Ball Game!, which dives into the players and parks that shaped baseball as we know it today.
We hope you find the inspiration and power in these stories to set out and take on the world, one step towards change at a time!
Coming March 2025!
