Ileana Reyes, Community Bookseller

Hello, my name is Ileana Reyes, and I'm originally from Mexico born and raised in Mexico City. I have been living in West Kelowna, Canada for 20 years, I'm Canadian now too.
I'm so proud to be a mom of a wonderful strong daughter Ileana and an amazing son Felipe. I've a gorgeous granddaughter Isabella.
I have been a preschool teacher for 25 years. I'm so grateful and thankful to all the children that taught me so much and honoured to be part of my student's learning journey.
I found Barefoot Books 10 years ago in Montreal.  I found them again at a teacher convention and I was only intrested in the Spanish books, but I was surprised and moved with the amazing Barefoot Books collection.   I have been using them for years at my preschool and the children love them.   I really value the message of diversity, kindness, empathy, respect, peace and that challenge the children to be critical thinkers.
