 I discovered Barefoot books when I was teaching English as a Second Language to elementary students. My students came from very diverse backgrounds and I wanted to find books about their individual cultures, so when I stumbled upon Barefoot books, I fell madly in love. All my students from kindergarten through fifth grade loved these books because there is something for everyone. Now that I am retired and a grandmother for the first time, I enjoy choosing Barefoot books to share with my granddaughter. It's never too early to introduce a child to the wonderful world of books.
